Furry Fandom and the Freaks Who Love Them
Fur, fur, fur! We just can't get enough!
Really, come on. The Internet is amazing for so many reasons, of course the chief one being that it's incredibly easy to track down someone, anyone, a hell of a lot of people who share your interests. But a furry community?
It is unequivocally odd to find a common bond in furry creature costumes, and what's more, taking on "fursonas" is simply unhealthy.
Can it get any freakier? Yes. From the Wikipedia entry on Furry Fandom:
Differing approaches to sexuality have at times been a source of divisions and controversy in the fandom. There are also a wide range of stereotypes about furries and sex. Protests have been made by members of the furry fandom against what they regard as 'distasteful, unrelated or deviant aspects' of the fandom, in particular by groups such as the 'Burned Furs' (a protest group of the 1990's who felt their work and image was being seriously harmed by increased sexual aspects within the fandom.
In case you're shaking out of fright and can't click away from this page, just know that yes, the term "Furvert" is alive and well in the fandom.

Ohhh, baby, Ill dress you up in green, polyester fur. Then you can wear the really tight Celtics jersey that still smells like the sweat from your time as a mascot five years ago. Ummmmm Im getting all hot just thinking about it now. Fur friction is the only way to go.

Interesting that you chose to quote just from the "sex" section, rather than, say, the lead . . . fursuiting is a part of furry fandom, to be sure, but far more of the fandom is interested in artwork and roleplaying.

It sounds like you're just jealous the furries are having more fun than you. Don't be such a hater.

Some people just make themselves feel better by looking down on others. Anything different is bad to most people.
And it's articles like this that make people think furries are all perveted freaks.
