The Almost Amazin' Mets
"Believe!" was -- and still is -- the mantra.
And in the bottom of the ninth inning of the NLCS game 7 last night at Shea Stadium, the entire stadium believed. (Indicator number one: the bouncing upper deck beneath your feet.) And then we got caught lookin'. Here's a slideshow of photos from the game, snapped from just behind the right-field foul pole by The Inquirer staff photographer, A.M. Bast. It shouldn't be difficult to tell which photos came before that ninth inning, and which came after.
