Trump Steaks. Ehhh?

You can travel to Buenos Aires for great steaks and impeccable leather products. What, no time for a 10-hour plane ride? Or an extra grand in your pocket for a measly coach seat? No worries, Trump to the rescue!

Frightening but true, real-estate woo-hoo Donald Trump has recently announced an agreement with Buckhead Beef that will bring us all (oh, thank the Lord!) Trump Steaks.

"Trump steaks will provide consumers with a taste of Donald Trump's luxurious lifestyle in their own homes, with the opportunity to enjoy the same mouth-watering steaks that are served in his award winning restaurants," says the press release.

It's a licensing deal, attaching the Trump brand to some hunks of meat. Porterhouse, New York Strip, included. And for the cosmopolitan element: Japanese-style Kobe Beef.

Ivanka? Can we gnaw together?

TrumpSteaks are realy high quality steaks. I order Filet Mignon and it was the best steak I ever had. I definitely recommend to try any of the TrumpSteaks

Donny obviously doesn't have much to lose in this extension of the Trump brand. It will not make $. He obviously conned someone at Sharper Image into going along with it. Sharper images brand value just took a big hit!

This is ridiculous. The steaks are way too expensive. The money from just one of these steaks could buy enough food to feed a starving child for up to 6 months! Why are people so greedy!?

I just watch Conan and I thought he just made up about Trump Steaks! It just so silly!

I seen his steaks on the SI site and I couldn't believe how overprice they are! I think it totally shameless to charge suckers so much! I donno how it gets done in good conscience! It like $200 for the cheapest little package - 44oz. total of steak, 116oz steak burkers. The 'connoisseur collection' is 16.5lbs steak and 12lbs burkers - and cost a darn grand!

How insane it is! Can people with this much money to blow not be smart enough to know they can get a better bargain??? It not like Trump has patented a special breed of steer or meat processing technique, the same meat can be had for much less! I bet even Trump would not pay such a cost! It's crazy!

Just got back from Atlantic City where we stayed at the Trump Marina Hotel Casino. Ate at a place inside the Trump Hotel called "DJs Steakhouse". Not sure if they were using Trump steaks, but the prime rib, (steep cost - $34 for 16oz) was the best I have tasted. It was very tender and almost melted in my mouth! It was simply delicious. I am not sure if this had more to do with the quality of the meat or the expertise in the manner it was prepared, but it was outstanding.

Not sure if I could get the same result at home using frozen Trump steaks. I think that has a lot to do with how it taste at the table(freezing the meat). Don't have that kind of money to give Mr. Trump to experiment with meat.
