We Interrupt This Very Important Message to Take a Break
Look at that, The New York Inquirer has been publishing for a year, and whew are our arms tired! 550 articles and posts, almost a 1,000 reader comments, scores of photos and illustrations, and just loads of invaluable insight.
So we're taking a little break.
Fear not, we won't be gone for too long. Likely most of June and July as we all work on new projects, do some traveling, and regroup for the fall. Until then, take a look back at some of our notable pieces and investigations from the last year:
Remember when Mik Awake Googled himself and nearly lost his mind, not to mention his job?
Or The Inquirer's look at the power of the Israel lobby?
How about our reporting on Humans 2.0 and the futurists who are re-engineering human nature?
And then there was Elizabeth Keenan's exquisite look at insomnia.
Our coverage of the Genocide in Darfur is ongoing.
There was that one time we sized up our life with drugs.
Andrew Bast loitered on 47th Street for weeks while scoping out the wrongdoing of Manhattan's Diamond District.
And Bryan Joiner wrote about New York City hot dogs.
To cap it all off, The Inquirer ventured to the Middle East and reported from Cairo.
There's plenty more in the archive to hold you over, and just so you won't forget, drop us a line and we'll let you know when we're back to publishing regularly.
Have a rad summer!
